How to save evidence of online defamation
Screenshot, link and date: the three things to do right away, before the content disappears.
When you are attacked online, the first thing to do is save the evidence. Content can be deleted at any moment.
1. Take a full screenshot
The text, the author name and the date must be visible.
2. Copy the link
The link to the post or comment helps the lawyer find it.
3. Do not reply
Replying can make things worse. Let a lawyer decide how to act.
